A Word from our former 2019-2020 President!

19 Jun

Dear Aggie Moms,

The 2019-2020 year was definitely one we will all remember! We had an active fall: Yell Practice with some of the Galveston Yell Leaders, shopping with Kendra for our 3rd year, and learning about the TAMU Student Affairs Office and OPAS, ending with an outing at Carino’s. The spring began with hosting TAMU Singing Cadets followed by self-defense training by TAMU Officer’s Hosea and Donovan before Covid-19 launched us into shut down.

In the midst of lockdown and COVID, our club still awarded 6 scholarships (2 current students; 4 in-coming freshman) totaling $4,000 for the upcoming Fall 2020 term and provided Senior Crests to those mom’s that requested them.

Thank YOU Mom’s that made this year successful!

We have formally handed over the reins of the Brazoria County Aggie Mom’s Club to a new board. I’d like to welcome Kim Forrest as the new Board President along-side these fantastic ladies for their willingness to continue serving in new and current roles. There are a few spots that remain open, please reach out to any of these ladies if you are interested. 2020-2021 is sure to be full of excitement and renewal.

I’d like to thank you all for supporting this organization. Being an Aggie Mom and part of this Aggie Mom Club has been such a wonderful honor. I would also like to extend a special thanks to the beautiful ladies that served this past year that are moving on to other exciting experiences – Jill Clark, Yvonne Samson, Giovanna Swisher, Julie Stoddard, and Amy Shandley.

It might be a little different than before, but I look forward to the excitement that this next year will usher in.

Take care my friends! Whoop and Gig’Em!!!
